First Steps Are Always The Hardest
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
Whether you come to Valley Oaks Health on a referral or just walk through the door, we’re delighted to help you take your first steps on the recovery journey. Here’s what to expect during your first visit:
Introductions & Information
Walking through the door, you’ll find our inviting and responsive staff. All we’ll need is a little information on your initial visit. We’ve taken the time to make this step as simple as possible, so please fill out your paperwork in advance.
Scheduling a Therapist Consultation
The next step is to schedule a time to meet with one of our therapists. At Valley Oaks Health, we take the time to listen to your story and gather as much information as possible so we can better care for you.
Comprehensive Assessment Phase
During this phase, we implore a proven comprehensive assessment strategy that takes into consideration your entire story and possibilities of dual diagnosis so our team can determine how to approach your care.
Developing a Customized Plan
Once we have developed a care plan specific to you, we take the time to sit down and explain our findings, present our plan, explain your options, and lay out your next steps toward long-term recovery.
*In accordance with guidelines set by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction, substance use disordered women who are pregnant or caring for a dependent will be given priority with regards to admission and treatment.
