Group Gives Children Opportunity to Grow Social Skills

Valley Oaks Health is hosting a social skills therapy group that gives children the opportunity to improve their social functioning. The first session will be held Friday, July 9 from 10-11 a.m. at 415 North 26th Street, Lafayette, Indiana, and the group will continue to meet at the same time and location for eight weeks.

Participants will learn and practice communication skills, perspective understanding, resolving conflict, managing and communicating emotions, setting boundaries, advocating for themselves, making friends, and using social media in a healthy way.

Current Valley Oaks Health clients between the ages of 7 and 11 should reach out to their provider for a referral or email lpennington@valleyoaks.org for more information.
